Rain Dance Vineyards

Address: 26355 NE Bell Rd.
Newberg, OR 97132

Our vineyard is planted to nearly 20 acres of Pinot noir on the slopes of Chehalem Mountain. We grow Pinot noir exclusively.

Vineyard soil types are largely Jory and Saum Complex with a portion of the vineyard composed of Nekia soils.

Farming philosophy: Growing up and living in the area, the owners have fostered a deep respect and regard for this natural setting and an absolute commitment to maintain the quality of the land while enjoying the bounties the soil here provides. They are committed to retaining larger trees near their plantings and their clearing practices include grazing llamas to remove undergrowth rather than using herbicides.

Certification: Rain Dance Ranch has been operating as an organic vineyard, and intends to seek and maintain a Live Certification.

This vineyard, while still young, has retained a talented group of experienced professionals as resources and to maintain the growing operation. By utilizing long standing community relations and relying on expert advice, Rain Dance Ranch expects to quickly become a major contributor to this area’s rapidly developing wine culture.

Our wines are available for tasting and purchase at the Raindance Ranch Marketplace. Special facilities available for the vineyard include picnic tables, an art gallery and gift store, and accommodations for special events.
